crocodiledeathspin asked: My opinion on the comment: 2D and 3D animation are very different. I'm an artist, and for me, drawing girls is easy, but drawing boys to look different and unique and still male is nearly impossible. It would stand to reason that people might have trouble rendering a 3D version of one versus the other in much the same way. I don't think it's sexist and I do think it's stupid to get all angry and upset about it.

Thank you so much for sharing!

Okay ladies and gentleman - I would love to hear your opinion (good or bad) on the recent comment made by Lino Disalvo (Head of Animation for the film Frozen) regarding women being difficult to animate. Please feel free to send me any comments or general feedback!

The comment is also included below if you have not had an opportunity to read it yet.

"Historically speaking, animating female characters are really, really difficult, ’cause they have to go through these range of emotions, but they’re very, very — you have to keep them pretty and they’re very sensitive to — you can get them off a model very quickly. So, having a film with two hero female characters was really tough, and having them both in the scene and look very different if they’re echoing the same expression; that Elsa looking angry looks different from Anna being angry."

Anonymous asked: whats the difference between Disneyland and Disney California Adventures?

Well, there are quite a few differences between the parks, so I’ll try to just give you the basics!

Disneyland resort contains both Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure, much like how Walt Disney World is separated into their four parks.

Disneyland park is the original park and contains some of the more iconic rides such as Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, The Haunted Mansion, and “it’s a small world,” while Disney California Adventure has the New Car’s Land, Paradise Pier, and Soarin’.

General consensus wise, majority of guests feel the theming and cohesiveness of Disneyland Park is better, although California Adventure has been slated for a remodeling of sorts, the first of which was the Cars Land expansion, so perhaps California Adventure will be more of a fan favorite in a few years.

I’m sorry if this seems a bit vague, so in short, I would recommend just visiting the Disneyland website to get a more comprehensive look at what makes each park unique!

Hope that was somewhat helpful!

Anonymous asked: i did the web based interview and didnt pass so i was wondering if i called the recruiters if they could potentially still hire me

You know I honestly don’t know the answer to this - my suggestion would be to give it a shot, however they might just tell you that you will have to reapply for the next program!

Sorry if that wasn’t very helpful, but I wish you the best of luck!

Anonymous asked: do you stay there for thanksgiving and christmas, or do you get to go home?

In theory you could try and request off or give away any shifts during the holidays, however priority is given to full-time and part-time cast members based on their seniority.

So essentially, if you are part of the College Program, I would go ahead and anticipate on working through any holidays that occur during your program as there is no guarantee you would be given those days off.

Anonymous asked: its called Main Street Electrical parade not "Electrical Parades"

You are absolutely correct! I often just shorten it when I’m referring to it in conversation - but I will fix that right away.

Thanks for letting me know!

Hey guys! Just a reminder that I am a current participant in the Disney College Program down here in Florida (I’ve had a lot of questions recently), so please don’t hesitate to send me any questions/concerns you might have and I will do my best to answer them!

I’m always happy to help!

Anonymous asked: When is the Railroad at Magic Kingdom in WDW scheduled to reopen?

I believe it is closed until November 20th!

Hope that’s helpful!

Anonymous asked: what are some good sites to look at for disney news?

For just overall news I’m assuming?

  • Rotoscopers - These guys aren’t Disney specific, but they cover Disney quite a bit, and in general just offer a great variety with what news they offer.
  • Disney Parks Blog - This is Disney run, and it’s good for construction updates and photos for both Disneyland and Disney World
  • Mice Chat - More general and widespread Disney news (also good for the international parks).

Those are probably the three I would recommend the most as they tend to be more fact based, as well as quick with news.

Let me know if that wasn’t at all remotely helpful!
