Disneyland has provided a brief update, through several photos, on the status of the new permanent home of the Disney princesses (the Fantasy Faire expansion) being built outside of Sleeping Beauty’s castle in Disneyland.
The Creative Entertainment team at Disneyland is working on producing a new live entertainment experience for the Fantasyland Theater, which is anticipated to open in the Summer of 2013.
As a result of the construction, the existing Princess Fantasy Faire will be closing on August 12, however park guests will still be able to meet the various princesses on the path leading to “It’s a Small World,” beginning August 13 until the new expansion opens in the Spring of 2013.

Disney Interactive announced that their new game, Disney Princess: My Fairytale Adventure, will be released this fall.
The game is based upon the plot line that a spell has been cast over several of the princesses, and the player will need to help Tiana, Belle, Ariel, Rapunzel, and Cinderella break the curse and restore happily ever after to the kingdoms. The player will be given the role of apprentice to the fairy godmother, and will have unintentionally caused a series of events that have turned friendly sprites into mischievous imps. The player, using their magic wand, will need to turn the imps back into their original sprite form and return them to the magical kingdom.
The interactive world will allow players to explore such scenes as Cinderella’s ball and Rapunzel’s tower, as well as the opportunity to meet with iconic characters such as Pascal, Flounder, and Gus, who will help the player with various missions.
