21st JuneFilming for Walt Disney Studios “Maleficent” began in London early last week. The film will star Angelina Jolie as Maleficent, with Sharlto Copley, Elle Fanning, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Miranda Richardson, Juno Temple, and Lesley Manville in supporting roles. “Maleficent” will hit theaters on March 14, 2014.

5th MaySharlto Copley (District 9, The A-Team, and Europa) is rumored to be joining the cast of Disney’s live action movie Maleficent as King Stefan, Aurora’s father. If Copley is cast in the role he will be playing the lead opposite of Angelina Jolie, who is starring as Maleficent in the film.
The film is slated to be released in 2014.
